Odds Mansion was made for the monthly game jam over at OGAM using the November theme, “Luck”. Unfortunately I only found out about the theme 4 days before the end of the month, so instead I worked on it over the December break instead. This was my first time using DOTween and I can’t praise it enough. It’s by far the best code-only tweening library I’ve found and has all sorts of shortcuts for Unity.
What I especially like is the AppendCallback helper which lets you insert a method callback anywhere in sequence. This way you can run some tweens of objects moving about, and then once they reach their destination call your own method to do something like change the sprite. Once that’s done you just hop back into the sequence and carry on. Brilliant!
