Terminal was a short game made in Construct2. It was heavily inspired by the ambient creepiness of CAPSULE, a brilliant game by Adam Atomic.
The game requires a full keyboard to work, so a desktop PC is required.
The game features failure trees stored in a rather large XML file that create disasters which spiral out of control. Missing an order to suppress a fire will cause more fires to spread, creating more complex and faster orders to suppress fires. If these are not completed in time, explosions will be triggered that require doors to be closed to prevent O2 leaking. The system is actually quite complex, which was completely unnecessary when I built this game!
How to Play
To play, select orders on the left by using the tab button with an order number – for example, Tab+1 or Tab+2. Once an order is selected, a series of keys are shown that need to be input to complete the order. Some orders require multiple keys to be pressed at one (eg. S+4) and others will require a sequence of keys to be input (eg. O, then G).
Some orders will require power to certain systems, such as engines or doors. Power can be assigned on the right side using the numpad. You only have limited power though, so you will need to juggle your resources to complete all the orders.
